Volunteering Event - 26th April 2014
We are hosting an event in April for people who have been personally affected by PP and are interested in helping us. We will be talking about the work of the charity and the different ways people can volunteer with us to help raise awareness of PP, offer support to others and fundraise. Members of APP will be at the event to let you know more about the following ways you can volunteer.
- Peer Supporters
Peer Supporters are people with experience of PP who provide support for mothers and families who are recovering from PP, either via our online forum or our 1:1 email service. - Media Volunteers
We support people with experience of Postpartum Psychosis (PP) to share their story and talk to the media. - Regional Representatives
We are developing a network of regional representatives to help us raise awareness of PP, spread information and fundraise in their local area. There will be a workshop at the event to develop resources to support people in Regional Representative roles.

If you'd like to know more about becoming an APP Regional Representative, a Peer Supporter, a Media Volunteer, or helping with awareness raising and fundraising, or there are any other technical or administrative skills you can offer, come along to find out more.
It will be held at: The Barberry, 25 Vincent drive, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B15 2FG on 26th April 2014.
It’s a great chance to meet other PP women and to discuss ideas to change things for the future.
If you would like to come to the Volunteering Event or to receive more information, please email ruth@www.app-network.org. It would also be helpful to know a little more about you and about the kinds of ways you might be interested in helping APP.
