Lauren’s Virtual Kiltwalk challenge for Action on Postpartum Psychosis in 2021

Lauren Forrest is taking part in the Virtual Scottish Kiltwalk over the weekend of 23rd to 25th  April 2021 to raise awareness and money to support APP’s work. Lauren started the Couch to 5k after the birth of her second baby in September, and is planning to run  10k on one day and 10 miles the following day.

Lauren said ‘I’m a Psychologist working in mental health so issues affecting the perinatal period really interest me. In addition, being a parent and also having a lockdown baby I can very much appreciate both the joys and challenges being a new parent brings. Keeping active had been a lifeline for me and especially during lockdown and so for these reasons I wanted to participate in an active challenge to raise funds for APP. The work of the charity is so important to aid recovery of women, increase awareness and educate, facilitate research into the illness and improve current services. I want to help raise money so APP can continue with the great work they do’.

All funds raised will be doubled by Sir Tom Hunter and the Hunter Foundation. We would like to say a huge thank you to Lauren for supporting APP and to all who have donated so far.
